Having grown up in a rural area as a young lady, on the slopes of Nyandarua, our family mainly depended on agriculture as the main source of income just like all the other households in our locality. It is through farming that food, school fees, clothing etc would be catered for. However, more often, all the crops would be destroyed by either pests or delayed treatment of crop diseases year after year. As I grew up I kept doing my research and realized this is a common problem with most farmers not only from my locality in Nyandarua but across Africa and that’s why I developed this solution. We set out to solve the problem of: (1) Delayed identification of crop diseases and crop pests infestation, (2) with disease detection a critical task for farmers, they often follow shortcuts of using chemical pesticides which give side effects to consumable foods and finally , (3) in case the farmer makes wrong predictions and uses the wrong fertilizers or more than the normal dose (or) threshold or Limit (every plant has some threshold fertilizers spraying to be followed), it will mess up the whole plant (or) soil and cause enough damage to plant and fields.
