Shaddaï Aquaculture is a fish feed production industry. Aquaculture is the world’s hope in the face of climate change. It is also the hope of millions of rural African families who have no access to fish. However, there remains a significant challenge in developing this sector in our country due to the issue of feeding fish. We import an average of 80% of the feed used in Senegal, making it extremely expensive and preventing fish farmers from making a living from their activity. These producers sometimes attempt to use locally produced feed, which hinders the growth of the fish and can lead to high mortality rates. As a result, many of them end up abandoning this activity despite the high demand for fish in remote areas.
