Fidena Agri-Uganda Limited is a company registered in Uganda to improve household income through agri-business enterprises. We manufacture Eggo farm organic fertilizer from egg shells and banana peels. We source and collect egg shells and banana peels through agents from collection centers in the market, hotels and communities to use as a key input in manufacture of the fertilizer. In the last 2 years of existence we have so far expanded to 30 districts and 4 cities and now sell in Kampala, the Capital City of Uganda. The passion for this business is driven by the ambition to solve low crop yields facing farmers in Uganda, Africa and the global community. Eggo farm organic foliar fertilizer was piloted and proved to be increasing crops yields by 45%. It is 100% organic, affordable and easy to use by farmers. A 500mll bottle of Eggo farm is sold at US$5.6 in the Uganda market. The company is leveraging business to customer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) models to market products to the farmers using farmer networks, partners, stockists, agro-inputs dealers and digital technology. This is applied to appeal, create awareness, seal business deals as well as distribute products to customers especially to farmers directly and indirectly. Our addressable market is, $32,881,720 and obtainable market of $11,200,000 and market population of 2,000,000 to propel us to capture 40% market share in 5 years. We are directly selling products to small holder farmers and reaching farmers through agents, partners, agro-input dealers, stockists. Competition in the business is coming from synthetic fertilizer, organic fertilizer, companies involved in fertilizer business and local fertilizer made from manure. Our business is unique because it is based on a circular model, our fertilizer is an affordable organic product, and we are leveraging farmer networks and stockists.
